This month, we’re highlighting Codey, a dedicated Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) who has been traveling with Aequor since 2024.
Originally from Ohio, Codey began his travel healthcare journey with Aequor in April 2024, accepting his first assignment in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Like many allied health travelers, Codey was drawn to the opportunity to experience new healthcare settings while continuing to develop professionally.
Sterile Processing Technicians play a critical role in patient safety, ensuring surgical instruments and medical equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and prepared for procedures. Traveling allows professionals like Codey to see how different hospitals approach these essential processes.
Since his first assignment, Codey has continued to expand his experience by taking on new opportunities. After completing his role in Michigan, he traveled to Baltimore, Maryland, where he continued supporting hospital teams and learning new approaches to sterile processing.
Working in multiple healthcare environments provides valuable exposure to different workflows, technologies, and team dynamics. For sterile processing professionals, this type of experience can strengthen technical skills while broadening their understanding of best practices across facilities.
