Exciting News: Connecticut Joins the Nurse Licensure Compact – Here’s What It Means for You

Connecticut is officially making it easier for talented nurses to cross state lines. Starting October 1, 2025, the Constitution State will activate its membership in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). Connecticut will be the 42nd jurisdiction to join this game changing multistate nursing license system.

What Is the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)?

The NLC offers registered nurses (RNs) one multistate license, eliminating the need for multiple state licenses while enabling seamless in person and telehealth practice across all member states.

Why This Matters for Travel Healthcare Professionals

  1. Greater mobility and flexibility – Aequor travel professionals can now take on assignments in Connecticut more easily, enhancing their career flexibility.
  2. Streamlined licensing – Eliminates time consuming licensing steps, helping professionals get to work faster.
  3. Expands opportunity pool – Connecticut’s addition opens new assignment locations and strengthens regional coverage.

Aequor + Connecticut NLC: A Winning Combination

At Aequor, our mission is to connect travel healthcare professionals with meaningful opportunities nationwide, while offering high pay, flexible assignments, excellent benefits, and 24/7 support. With Connecticut’s upcoming integration into the NLC, we’re more ready than ever to:

  1. Expand our assignment reach in New England, now smoother to access for travel RNs
  2. Support licensing transitions as Connecticut nurses become eligible for multistate licenses and as out-of-state travelers can easily begin assignments here.
  3. Provide new adventures in a state known for rich history, coastal charm, and vibrant communities, perfect for travel professionals eager to explore.
